I was very honored to be part of capturing a very special birthday for a very special lady this past weekend. What a wonderful thing, to see so many people come together to celebrate someone who meant so much to each and every one of them. Seeing all of them there, many of whom traveled quite a distance to make it, spoke more than words ever could I think as to what a wonderful person this woman- called mom, aunt, grandma, even great-grandma- truly is and what an effect she has had on the people who surround her. Happy Birthday, Angie!

I had an opportunity to visit one of my favorite families again this weekend. I have done big brother’s photos several times in the last 2 years, and was contacted again shortly after his little sister made her debut I love nothing more than seeing siblings together- it melts my heart how much he loves her already.

I met up with this lovely mom to be last evening for a quick maternity session. I had fun meeting big sister ‘A’ who reminds me so much of my three year old I had to laugh! Only a few more weeks to wait and see if she gets a little brother or sister!

Looking for something to inspire creativity and do something a little different, some friends and I started a blog circle this month. The idea, put so nicely by one of these friends, is that a group of photographers all take a picture based on a pre-assigned theme and post it on our blogs once per month. The theme is completely open to interpretation and I’m excited for this opportunity to explore my art and can not wait to see what everyone else comes up with!
